Donate to Save the Children when you Save at My 1st Years
Evidence shows that smiling can boost mood, reduce stress, and even increase immunity. However, not everyone has a reason to smile. Children living in poverty, conflict zones, or facing health challenges often miss out on the joys of childhood.
During National Smile Month, Savoo will donate to Save the Children every time a My 1ST Years deal is redeemed between May 19th and June 1st, 2025. By supporting Save the Children, you can help bring smiles to those who need them most.

There’s nothing quite like the joy of a baby’s smile; pure, unfiltered happiness that lights up a room and melts hearts. It’s those precious, fleeting moments of giggles and grins that make early childhood so magical. That’s why Savoo is proud to be partnering with My 1st Years to raise donations for Save the Children.
Known for their beautiful gifts for babies and children, My 1st Years celebrates the milestones that make families smile. Claim a My 1st Years discount before 1st June to trigger a 2% donation to Save the Children, the global charity that helps vulnerable children achieve a brighter future.

What is National Smile Month?
National Smile Month is the UK's biggest annual campaign dedicated to improving oral health and celebrating the power of a smile. In 2025, the event will take place between 12 May and 12 June, with the aim of encouraging people of all ages to adopt healthy habits that protect teeth and gums. Steps like brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, reducing sugary snacks, and visiting the dentist regularly make a real difference.

This year's theme, 'Love Your Smile', highlights how simple changes in daily routines can lead to lifelong benefits for both oral and overall health. But National Smile Month isn't just about teeth. It's about confidence, happiness, and connection. A healthy smile can brighten someone's day, build self-esteem, and even improve mental well-being. That's why the campaign focuses not only on education but also on celebration.
While many of us can take a happy, healthy smile for granted, countless children around the world can't. Children in disadvantaged areas often have poorer oral health outcomes, and Save the Children encounters that daily. The charity prioritises helping children and their families in some of the world's most dangerous places. However, it provides educational materials and resources to help families and communities so they can learn about best health practices.
About Save the Children
Save the Children began its mission over a century ago, responding to the devastating impact of World War I on young lives across Europe. Since then, it has grown into a global humanitarian organisation operating independently of government funding, with active programs in more than 100 countries. At its heart, Save the Children believes every child deserves a future, whether that means access to quality education, healthcare, protection from harm, or the support needed to break the cycle of poverty.
When emergencies strike, whether through conflict, natural disaster, or economic crisis, Save the Children is often among the first on the ground. Their Children's Emergency Fund empowers teams to act swiftly in crisis zones, including Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, Yemen, and Syria, delivering essential aid tailored to children's needs. In 2025, the charity aims to reach nearly 20 million people, of which approximately 12 million are children, ensuring that support arrives where and when it's most needed.
In late March 2025, Myanmar was struck by a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake, leaving over 2,700 people dead and thousands more injured. Entire communities were flattened, with more than 10,000 buildings damaged or destroyed. In the aftermath, children and families have been forced to live in open spaces with little to no shelter. Save the Children has been at the forefront of the emergency response, providing essential aid such as food, clean water, medical care, and child-friendly spaces to support the physical and emotional well-being of affected children.
Closer to home, Save the Children also plays a vital role in tackling inequality across the UK. With nearly one in three children growing up in poverty, the charity invests in early years learning, community outreach, and grassroots initiatives. By funding local projects and campaigning for essential services like free school meals, Save the Children is working to create a fairer start for all children. After all, a bright smile and a bright future should never depend on where a child is born.
